NCO Foundations 500

Course Overview:

The NCO Foundations Course (Airmanship 500) is the next step in professional development, replacing the former NCO Professional Enhancement Seminar and serving as a prerequisite for NCOA. This course empowers participants to lead by example, build strong communication skills, and foster a culture of trust and excellence.

Participants will explore the Airman Leadership Qualities, develop networking strategies, and learn to ask the right questions—and use the answers effectively.

• NCO Foundations is your #1 priority during class dates and supersedes normal duties (contact with concerns).
• Priority: USAF/USSF NCOs who have completed ALS, but not NCOA
• Seats extended to CGOs and civilian equivalent
• Bring a laptop with MS Word and PowerPoint (or equivalent), plus note-taking materials
• Uniform: OCPs
• Eligibility: Open to all members
